If you weren’t aware, I just got back from two weeks in Turkey (hence the lack of blog posts- SORRY!). Although there were many days just spent in a bikini, we did like to venture out of the hotel and explore the costal town around us. So I thought that I would show you a few little outfits that I wore while I was away.
Culottes
I am OBSESSED with culottes at the moment! I think that they are so cool and airy in the hot Turkish summer. I love how they look like a dress until you start to walk! Its so funky. I got these from TKMaxx but have linked some very similar styles in the bottom of this post. I really love how this is a one piece, as it makes life so much easier and keeps me so cool. The only issue is going to the toilet….
But if you can get past the fact that you have to strip naked in order to pee, then this is perfect for you. I got so many compliments when I wore this and I am so obsessed!
Fatface shorts
You have all seen these shorts before, they are from the Fatface #washedinhappiness campaign and I have been wearing them so much… this is the 3rd blogpost that they have been featured in! I have paired them with a sweet little white tee that has a beautiful blue detailing around the collar. The top is so light and perfect for going abroad because it covers your shoulders (and as a pale, English rose, I neeeeed my shoulders covered). I am also wearing these sweet little sandals that I am loving right now! They have a beautiful little criss-cross detail and go with so many outfits.
Bardou Top
I really love bardou style tees and have been wearing them so much this summer! This one is from asos and is so dainty and girly. I dont like to bring it completely over my shoulders because otherwise they would burn to a crisp, but i really like how loose fitting it is and I love the cropped detail. I love these black shorts that I have paired with this. They are so light and I love the patterned trim that they have. The shoes that I have on are my fave gladiators! I love the love laces and they detail that they have. They go with so much and are so comfortable to wear in the baking heat! You can pick them up from almost any shoe shop at the moment, which is perfect!
Safari Outfit
On this day we did a Jeep safari, therefore I wanted to have the most safari type outfit that I could. This top that I am wearing was my most animal top, and has a gorgeous elephant print on the centre of it. I actually got this from new look kids section (perks of being 5ft)! I paired it with the same shorts that I wore in the previous outfit because YES WE CAN OUTFIT REPEAT!
The denim shorts
You may have noticed, that I Don’t often wear denim. I just find that it doesn’t suit me very well…. But these shorts are on a whole new level! I love the distressed detail at the bottom and my favourite bit is the floral pockets at the back! Its such a simple detail that makes the shorts look so much more expensive than they actually are. I’m wearing another white bardou style top that I got from hollister. Its got a gorgeous lace detail on the front and I love the gyspie feel to the shirt.
So there you have it! A few of the outfits that I took with me and wore while in Turkey, yet again I overpacked and didn’t need half the amount of tops that I brought with me. But I really love the outfits that I wore and how they turned out. For those wondering, I stayed in Hisaronu in Turkey and I loved it so much! I will definitely be coming back here for another holiday soon.
